Alta Mons is best known for its four weeks of summer camp where kids can disconnect from their technological lives and engage with nature’s beauty.
But what about the other 48 weeks of the year? The 850-acre nonprofit in eastern Montgomery County, Va., wishes more people knew about its year-round offerings: RV and tent camping, dining and lodging facilities, swimming, fishing, hiking, ropes courses and much more. It’s an ideal setting for church and corporate retreats, family reunions, weddings, even a music video!
BUZZ seeks to turn this “best kept secret” into a must-see destination with the help of another nonprofit, Friends of the Blue Ridge, and the tourism marketing expertise of EddyAlexander and Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Montgomery County Regional Tourism Office.
